Public urged to keep eyes and ears open during Christmas period

Âé¶¹´«Ã½ÍøÕ¾ is urging everyone to keep their eyes and ears open for children and vulnerable adults who may be at risk over the festive season.
Âé¶¹´«Ã½ÍøÕ¾â€™s Cabinet Member for Social Services, Councillor Christine Jones has called for the public to join the council’s efforts:
“It is important that we all support and look after each other. If you’re at all worried about the welfare of a child or vulnerable adult, it’s much better to say something than do nothing.Ìý I would urge anyone who may have any concerns for a child or vulnerable adult to contact the County Council immediately, so that we can take appropriate steps to help and support those involved.â€
Neil Ayling, Chief Officer for Social Services explains:
“Over the holiday period we will continue to protect and support vulnerable children and adults but as we enter Alert Level 4 restrictions we are also asking everyone in Âé¶¹´«Ã½ÍøÕ¾ to help us.Ìý We are asking the public to keep their eyes and ears open to keep people safe.â€
